Emperor's Candlestick, A Laughing Man, and Adam Ramzi

Senna alata (Emperor's Candlesticks) are attracting many insects. The flowers are very sweet.   A honey bee is so involved with the bloom that he doesn't notice the camera inches away.
A wasp takes his turn on one of the flowers. He may be of the family Crabronidae of which there are 8,636 species worldwide. . .but I suspect him to be more likely a Sphecidae (Thread waisted wasp) . . . one of the 206 species found in N. America.

A Boxelder bug, Boisea trivittata takes his turn on the flower. This guy is often confused with another red and black bug that is persistent in Florida. . . the Red-shouldered bug, Jadera haematoloma (Herrich-Schaffer), which is more often found feasting on seeds of the invasive Golden Rain Tree (Koelreuteria paniculata) or Chinaberry Trees (Melia azedarach L.)
The caterpillar of a Cloudless Sulphur Butterfly, Phoebis sennae, blends nicely with the plant. When the caterpillar crawls onto the bloom his main color will morph to yellow.

Trump Loses in Court, Again
Week 3 and another embarrassment for the Trumpholes.  A federal appeals panel unanimously rejected Trump's bid to reinstate his ban on travel into the United States from seven largely Muslim nations.  The courts ruling was a sweeping rebuke of the administration's claim that the courts have no role as a check on the president.
