Red-Shouldered Hawk

I think this guy is a Red-Shouldered Hawk (Buteo lineatus). He's living on the property at the lake house. I see him every time I walk out the back door but I've not yet found his nest. Due to the high humidity (fogged cameras) and my moving quite slow I've had trouble getting a great photo of him. Once I get a better close-up I'll be able to tell for sure that he's a Buteo lineatus and not a Broad-Winged Hawk (Buteo platypterus). Regardless, he's obviously found ample food on our land to keep him around for several weeks.

BELOW: There was a tornado reported to be in this storm approaching from the SW yesterday. I was hoping to get a shot of the tornado but instead all I got were many bug bites and quite sweaty. We did get a little rain (.25") from the storm as it passed through.

ABOVE and BELOW: I walked down to the railroad tracks this evening on Highbanks. This is the steepest incline I've attempted since my surgery 35 days ago. I obviously made it back up the big hill OK. Several people waved and honked. I have no idea who they might have been. . . but I always wave back.
