Dew Drops and Sunsets

We're having really warm weather this December.  Temperatures in the low 80°s F. (27° C.) have been typical with sunny days and foggy nights.  The warmth often brings a thick layer of fog off of the Atlantic Ocean in the evenings which coats everything with tiny dew drops.

It must be really annoying to the spiders when their webs get covered with moisture . . . like pictured here.  We're happy for the moisture no matter how we get it as the drought rages on.

As soon as the fog burns off the relentless sunshine returns.  The sun is at its lowest angle of the year this week, so the sun always seems to be trying to set (and in my eyes).

At its lowest, the sun will reach only 38° above the horizon on the 21st and 22nd a little after noon.  Above with some Live Oaks (Quercus virginiana) on a drying swamp.

The low angles make for some nice photos.   Above, with a century plant (Agave americana).

Above and Below:  Warm sunsets on the inland waterway.
