Warm and Stormy Florida

Its a warm afternoon in Florida with current temperatures around 85° F  (29° C).
A cool front approaches from our west which is bringing some gusty winds . . .
the winds are whipping up the dust.  There is some hope for rain from this system. . .
but as it reaches the Florida peninsula it is going to lose much of its punch
and the associated squall line.

Currently the most likely area for severe weather is to our
northwest in the Florida Panhandle.

The strong upper level low pressure system exited Texas this morning
and then began moving across the Southeastern USA.

A squall line of thunderstorms ahead of the associated cold front is
expected to intensify as it moves east into an increasingly moist and
unstable air mass over the Gulf Coast states.

As has been the case through this fall and winter. . . the storm is
expected to weaken as it reaches into central Florida sometime Friday morning.
