Crocus and Thrasher

A Brown Thrasher (Toxostoma rufum) with Dutch Crocus (Crocus vernus)

Close-up of the Brown Thrasher.  These birds make a lot of noise in the brush, rustling around in leaves searching for food. . . and thus the name.  The Crocus are not long for this world.  Today's highs were in the upper 80°s F (31° C) and there is little chance of rain anytime soon.
