Filmy Dome Spider, Neriene radiata

This Filmy Dome Spider's (Neriene radiata) web is pretty interesting in close up.  I don't quite understand the holes here and there.   The dense fog allows for somewhat better visibility of the spider webs. . . which are. . . really. . .everywhere.

We'll take the daily dense fog over the miserable conditions in the Midwest and NE anyday.  I would have fled Chicago or New England weeks ago. . .to get away from the cold.  Today's high here in Central Florida should be around 85 F.

There is a car in the center of this image. . .but its pretty hard to see. Harder still to see the house across the street at about 9:00 am.

Below:  The first section of concrete by the pond is now cured.  Today we're hoping to lay another 40 x 4' . . . twice what we did the first day.  40' x 4 = 2,400 pounds of concrete.  Luckily I have my brother to help today.

Below:  Another Filmy Dome Spider and web.  As the fog burns off the wet webs reflect a lot of sunlight.
