This is the most difficult concrete I've attempted. . . creating an undulating swirl down the steepest incline in the backyard. I worked on it for about 5 hours yesterday and got another 30' or so completed.
The curves require construction of individually crafted stones. . .which takes a long while. . .a lot of bending and stooping.
I couldn't get the mix just right yesterday. It was either too wet or too dry. The weather was much hotter than previous concrete days (mid-80s and humid). Perhaps was a factor in the ultimate consistency of the concrete.

The work area is very sandy and on the steepest slope in the yard. I'd worked for weeks getting enough clean fill in the area to keep the slope as gentle as possible. Still, it wasn't enough.

Carrying the supplies to the site pretty much took most of my energy.

The beginning of the curve. Inside and outside stones have to be created by hand.

The frame that I use for the straight stones, here sitting in the curve.
The pathway ends at the garage, far in the distance in this shot.

Another angle, from gazebo looking out. . .giving some idea of the slope.

Another view. . .with all the crap in the background. The path will end at the shed far in the distance.

Looking from pond toward house. . .this section is going to take a couple more days and about 3,000 pounds of concrete (50, 60# bags).
