Lake Views



The lake in the afternoon light. Camera is pointed due north. Notice the water is very, very low. We are hoping the current El Nino forecast is correct (at least 17" rain before April 1, 2010).



Looking away from the lake, due south. . . the giant queen palms (Syagrus romanzoffiana) lean to the south in the persistent north breeze.



The Giant White Bird of Paridise (Strelitzia nicolai) are completely recovered from last winter's freezes.

The largest Mango (Mangifera indica L.) is the tree nearest the house. It shows little sign of last year's freeze. It should bloom any day now.
