Emperor's Candlesticks at Sunset

ABOVE: A large bunch of Emperor's Candlestick Seeds (Senna alata) along the fence, looking west into the sunset this evening.

ABOVE: Some impressive sunflowers growing up in the west-facing garden. The sunflowers are already about 4' tall. They will be quite large for October when they bloom in a couple weeks. I dug trenches and filled the trenches with used cat litter. . . then threw in seeds harvested from the June flowers. I covered the cat litter and seeds with some sand. . .and. . .well. . .it worked.

That's my bedroom door in the background. . . and some of the 3-year-old queen palms that are now about 12' tall.
